Successful Candidates receive Certificates - 01/04/2007

Six of the seven successful candidates from BEBB Bus and Coach Travel PLCSix of the seven successful candidates from BEBB Bus and Coach Travel PLC, Llantwit fardre, Pontypridd, receive the Framework, NVQ and Key Skills certificates for Road Transport Passenger NVQ Level 2. The candidates were selected by the company to undergo the award and on completion of it were awarded £50.00 by Llanelli Rural Council Training Dept.

The candidates completed the NVQ framework in the twelve months from July 2005 - July 2006. All the assessments were undertaken by Mr. John Martin and the evidence collected was inserted into portfolios' for Mr.Brian Evans (I.V) to confirm competence had been met. Mr.Anthony McDonagh is (E.V) for the NVQ programme at LRCT, and works for Education and Development International, then confirms that all portfolios have met with the current standards. The framework also consists of Key skills level 1, which include Application of Number, Communication and Information and Communication Technologies, all at level 1, again an I.V and E.V are used to confirm standards have been met. There is an end test that drivers have to complete and this concludes the units needed to claim a full certificate.

This NVQ reflects current legislation and codes of practice produced by Go Skills , the Sector Skills Council for Passenger Transport.

Who should take this qualification?
All passenger transport drivers, whose role demands high standards in driving and customer service, will benefit from this qualification.
The qualification can be incorporated into the induction programe for new drivers or be used to validate and build upon the existing knowledge of experienced drivers.
The NVQ requires learners to be assessed on the job and to produce a portfolio of evidence.They must also complete an external assessment multi-choice question paper.
