Government Funded Training Programmes

LRC Training is an Approved Training Provider and as such is able to deliver funded training under various government programmes.

Skillbuild

Skillbuild is a preparatory programme for unemployed learners. It offers training in basic skills, job tasters, confidence building and prepares learners to move onto vocational training and/or employment.

Skillbuild Plus

Skillbuild Plus offers learners the opportunity to obtain skills that are in demand in the labour market. These may involve National Vocational Qualifications and specific Vocational Training courses as offered by the training provider.

Modern Apprenticeships

There are two levels of Apprenticeship available mainly for employed people. LRC Training offers Foundation Apprenticeships in Logistics, Road Passenger Transport and Business Administration. Advanced Apprenticeships are available in Logistics and Administration. Advanced apprenticeships are available in Logistics and Administration

New Deal

Full Time Education and Training Places are available to learners aged 18 – 24 years who have been unemployed for some time. Opportunities include Fork Lift, LGV, PCV, Plant Operation and Business Administration.

React

React is a package of support designed to provide opportunities to recently redundant workers to gain new skills so they may move back into work as soon as possible.

Many of the programmes offer additional support such as travel and childcare costs.
Unemployed learners retain their current entitlements to benefit, plus an additional ‘top-up’.
Learners aged 16 – 18 on ‘Youth Programmes’ are paid an allowance of £50 per week by LRC Training.
Programmes can last between four weeks and two years depending on content.
