Traffic Office

 

Overview

Traffic Office duties can vary from company to company. Their role may involve dealing with customer enquiries, filing information (electronic and paper), issuing vehicle keys and load details, to ensuring the movement of goods by road, rail, sea or air is correctly scheduled and routed. 

Logistics employers need to attract more people into the industry at level 2 to train as Traffic Office clerks to ensure the goods are routed and dispatched to the correct destinations.  The Level 3 Apprenticeship builds on the Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship by providing opportunities to progress to Traffic Office management duties.

  • Level 2 Certificate in Traffic Office
  • Level 2 Award in Employee Rights and Responsibilities
  • Essential Communication Skills (Level 1)
  • Essential Application of Number Skills (Level 1)
  • Essential Digital Literacy Skills (Level 1)
Apprenticeship
  • Level 3 Certificate in Traffic Office
  • Level 2 Award in Employee Rights and Responsibilities
  • Essential Communication Skills (Level 2)
  • Essential Application of Number Skills (Level 2)
  • Essential Digital Literacy Skills (Level 2)

If you have already achieved Essential Skills or have GCSEs A – C in Maths and English; you won’t have to undertake them again as part of the qualification. (Certificates will need to be provided as proof.)

Training Duration

  • Foundation Apprenticeship – minimum 52 weeks
  • Apprenticeship – minimum 64 weeks

 

You must be employed for a minimum of 16 hours to undertake an apprenticeship. You make an agreement with us to complete your apprenticeship, and in return, you’ll get regular support from your Assessor.
