Amy Adams

Amy started on the Jobs Growth + Wales programme with Llanelli Rural Council Training in January 2023 after previously working in care home. She decided to join Prince’s Trust as she felt as though she needed more employability skills as she had a negative experience in her first job. Amy has learning difficulties and sometimes struggles to work as a team. Amy decided to Prince’s Trust Programme, delivered by the LRC to develop on her skills.

How the Trust supported the YP

Amy has been a model student and always attends class on time. The Trust has benefitted Amy as it was her aim to build confidence and build strong relationships. Amy excelled during residential where she was challenged to be put out of her comfort zone. She persevered through the different activities and was very focused. The Trust allowed her to try different things and find her feet. The Trust Team Challenge in a disability centre moved Amy and this is where she has decided to do work placement.

What was the result of this

Amy has started her DBS check for her to start her work placement in a disability care home. Amy has matured considerably during her time on Prince’s Trust and now feels as though she is able to work independently and with confidence.

Amy’s Quote

“I am enjoying princes trust because I find it really fun. I am nervous that it is finishing as I feel as though I have made friends for life and still want to have more adventures with them!”
